Estate Management

We have extensive experience in property aftercare. Having worked for a large Property PLC, we have managed an extensive portfolio of offices, theatres, Cinemas, shopping centres, and mixed-use schemes. We apply this knowledge to ensure that a building is easy and economical to run, giving the landlord a sound investment and the tenant peaceful enjoyment.

Guy Middleton served an apprenticeship as an Environmental Engineer and soon realised the design of the building services was restricted by the letting markets’ preference for simple AC solutions. He Joined Chesterfield Properties PLC as the in-house services consultant for developing 1 Buckingham Gate, pre-let to the Department for Energy. At the same time, he was awarded a degree in Estate Management from Reading University via a correspondence course. and soon became a Chartered Surveyor.

H4 Consulting was Founded in 1996 by Guy Middleton, and SW1 Surveyors is the trading name.

In 2000 Guy established a CGI studio in China to help speed up the planning and marketing process for clients in the UK. He has lectured in China on Green Buildings and holds a patent for a heat pump condenser.

Guy is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.
